Dear friends,
I want to begin with my heartfelt thanks for all the well wishes and support you have given me since my hospitalization on January 30th and how proud I am of my shul's ability to carry on so well. I hope to be discharged on Friday and will have a long recovery (4-6 weeks) with a pic-line to cure a heart infection. In the meantime, I'll participate the best I can on Zoom.
That said, this week's Torah portion (Terumah) is my very favorite and coincidentally happens to be my Bar Mitzvah portion! Our reading vividly describes the construction of the Tabernacle in all of its elaborate beauty and majesty. And to "top it off" the Haftorah from the Book of Kings similarly describes the construction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem by King Solomon.
Please join your fellow congregants tonight at 7:30 pm and tomorrow morning at 9:30 am in-person or virtually to experience Shabbat and enjoy the services!
