Weekly Message 11.1.19
Greetings from rainy, gloomy New Jersey where today I am observing the 18th (Chai) Yahrzeit of my beloved mother Fradl and tomorrow I will be participating in the annual conference of the New Jersey Historical Commission. I will be enjoying the monthly community Shabbat dinner at our old synagogue in the evening. Back in Florida, I hope you are having a good week and that you enjoy this weekend's Shabbat services beginning tonight at 7:30 pm and continuing Saturday morning at 9:30 am with the reading of Parashat Noach, the eternal and best-known biblical story of the great flood and its aftermath.
There are many lessons to be learned and services will be capably and beautifully led by our President Eileen Hochstadt and co-Spiritual Leader Elliot Shapiro.
Please attend to assure a minyan for those who are saying Kaddish. And remember that our own community Shabbat dinner will take place next Friday evening, November 8th at 6:30 pm.
Chris and I will be back for that after a brief visit with our grandsons in South Carolina.
Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom and looking forward to seeing you upon our return!
