Dear friends,
Hope you had a great week and are now prepared for another big Shabbat weekend at the JCC.
We begin with services Friday evening at 7:30 pm. Since its Presidents Weekend, I will be speaking about how George Washington and Abraham Lincoln should be celebrated by all Jews and what some appropriate activities mark this special occasion. Saturday morning, we have services at 9:30 am. Our Torah reading introduces us to Moses's father-in-law Jethro (Yitro in Hebrew) and more importantly, we read the dramatic giving of the 10 Commandments.
On Saturday evening, we celebrate our first wedding at the JCC in many years (Mazel Tov to Stephanie and Estaban and their parents and families).
On Sunday morning, we continue with our study of the 613 Mitzvot at our Adult Education Class at 11 am and then we study Hebrew at our Adult Hebrew Reading Class at Noon.
Then at 3 pm, we gather at the Koisi Japanese Restaurant at 4120 Little Road in New Port Richey for our monthly dine-out experience.
So as you can see, there is something for everyone this holiday weekend, and I hope to see all of you at one or more of our events.
