Hi friends,
I hope you are having a wonderful Chag Pesach! Also, thanks to all who Zoomed into our Seder Wednesday evening. Having a community coming right into our home added so much to our Haggadah reading and studying and to the joy of the festival!
I'm sharing some of the photos taken at our home. You'll note that we had the honor of Rabbi Al at our table!
We continue to share this holiday on Shabbat Chol Hamoed---Shabbat of the Intermediate days of Passover. We will meet at our usual times (7:30 pm tonight and 9:30 am tomorrow morning) for special Shabbat/Yom tov services which includes the reading of excerpts from King Solomon's Shir HaShirim (The Song of Songs). Our Torah reading will be from the Book of Exodus and will include the attributes of Hashem which we read on every festival. Our Haftorah will include the Prophet Ezekiel's parable of the dry bones.
Then on Thursday, April 13th at 9:30 am, we will mark the last day of Passover with our festival service beginning at 9:30 am and including the Yizkor memorial prayers.
And we will once again commemorate Yom HaShoah with the presentation of a proclamation from the City of New Port Richey to be delivered at the beginning of the City Council meeting on Tuesday April 18th at 7 pm at City Hall, 5919 Main Street, New Port Richey 34652. The mayor and I will be giving short addresses and we will take a group photo with the Mayor and Council and all those attending from the JCC. So please come out and join us at City Hall on that important day of commemoration.
